Drew Duckett
Hi. I'm Drew and I'm from Lockport, Illinois. I've always been fascinated by biology, and this has led me around the country and (part of) the world. I landed at the University of Georgia for my undergraduate degree, and while there I was exposed to molecular biology. I finished my M.S at the College of Charleston with Dr. Gavin Naylor in 2016. While at Charleston, my research efforts focused on population genetics and molecular evolution. Upon graduating, I became a research assistant at The Morton Arboretum, where I was involved with two labs that use population genetics and forest ecology to promote tree conservation. More recently, I joined the Carstens Lab at The Ohio State University, studying posterior predictive checks, phylogeography, and genome sequencing.
